Mariah Carey vs. Jump Smokers: Angels Advocate

Originally set to have been released in March 2010, Angels Advocate was a full reworking of Mariah Carey's 2009 #1 R&B album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.  Island Def Jam enlisted the electro/pop production team Jump Smokers to remix just about all of the tracks from the original album.  Most likely due to underwhelming sales of the original album and that the original only spawned one top ten single, the remix album ended up being shelved and never released.  Somehow the tracks managed to find the light of day and leaked on the internet in late 2010.  The end result was overwhelming acclaim from online bloggers and critics, DJ's, and fans.
